Enjoy spectacular sea views in an area of outstanding natural Cornish beauty when you book your seaside escape with us at Penhale Caravan & Camping Park.

Our relaxed, family-run campsite, set on a working organic farm just outside of Fowey, has breath-taking views out to sea across St Austell Bay and the surrounding countryside inspired many of Daphne Du Maurier's famous novels.

We offer self-catering accommodation in our 12 static holiday homes plus spacious, level serviced pitches (electric hook-up, water and Wi-Fi), tent camping areas (water and Wi-Fi) and shower block facilities for campers and tourers.

We are close to attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Penhale is great base from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. Our nearest beach is Polkerris, just one mile away, a beautiful sandy cove with beachfront pub The Rashleigh, Sam’s on the Beach restaurant, beach shop and water sports centre.

Couples

For a romantic getaway, is there anything better than getting back to nature? We have played host to many couples over the years, even hosting several honeymoons, and people often say they choose to stay here because of the peace and quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Escape your worries, leave the city behind, and just sit back and enjoy each other’s company whether that’s chilling out on your pitch or heading into Fowey to try the amazing local seafood. We have a no noise policy between 11pm and 7am to ensure our guests are able to sleep soundly.

Families

We have always been family and dog-friendly and some of our regular guests have been staying here for over 30 years so we’ve been lucky enough to know several generations of the same families. Our location makes us the perfect choice for families as we’re close to beaches and some of Cornwall’s star attractions such as the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan. We also stock all the latest tourist information leaflets and magazines for inspiration, as well as a free book library next to reception.

Dog Lovers

We love dogs - but only well-behaved dogs, naturally! Dogs need to be kept on the lead on the campsite but we have created a large, open grass dog-walking area where they can be off lead. The closest dog-friendly beach in the summer is Par Sands, a short drive from Penhale. and the Rashleigh Pub at our nearest beach, Polkerris, is dog-friendly both inside the pub and outside in the beer garden over the summer.
