Polkerris is a beautiful sandy cove located just one mile from the campsite. Wear sensible footwear as the track down to the beach is quite steep. You can be sitting in the beer garden or on the beach with a drink in around 20 minutes. The walk back takes a wee bit longer as it’s uphill! Check out our walking guide.

There is a small shop at reception selling bread, milk, camping supplies and basics you may have forgotten to pack. In the hotter months we also sell ice-creams and other Cornish treats.

There is a ‘how to’ list taped next to the washing machine which explains the few simple steps. The washing machines cost £3 and the dryers are £1.

The shower block, including showers, sinks and toilets, plus the pot wash area and chemical toilet, are open 24/7 and deep-cleaned several times a day by our brilliant cleaners.

Yes we stock calor and camping gaz. Oue shop on site also stocks camping essentials.

The footpath into Fowey runs behind our holiday home field, across the farm and down through the woods. It’s a beautiful walk, and takes a leisurely hour or so. More detailed walking maps can be found on our website.

In Fowey, we love Sam’s for great seafood and burgers, Appletons for the amazing handmade pasta and brunch menu, Fitzroy’s for interesting tapas, and The Old Quay House restaurant for fine dining. The Long Store in Charlestown makes the best roast dinners on Sundays (pre-book!) including veggie options. The Rashleigh pub down at Polkerris also has an excellent family-friendly menu.

You can flag down buses at the campsite entrance and they run hourly at 20 past the hour. All the info you need can be found here: www.fowey.co.uk/visitor-information/driving-to-fowey/public-transport

Yes we recommend White River Taxis which will happily collect from and drop off at the campsite entrance. Their numbers are 01726 76244 / 01726 810980.

Par Sands is dog-friendly over the summer and only a 5 minute drive from the campsite down into Par. The Rashleigh pub at Polerris welcomes well-behaved pooches and they can hang out in the beer garden, too. Check out more here: Cornwall Dog Friendly Beaches

Yes feel free to enjoy a BBQ or campfire – there’s nothing better when you’re enjoying the view. We just ask they are raised off the grass or on legs please as this prevents scorching (the grass takes ages to grow back properly once it’s burnt).

There is a shared chest freezer in the small shed next to reception. You may wish to bring ice blocks with you with your name on them in marker pen to avoid any confusion!

There is a small co=op just down the hill in Par (2 minute drive) or a large co-op in St Blazey. Tesco and Aldi are located on the road to St Austell on the right hand side. (20 minute drive)

Possibly, yes - but only if you are staying with us for a minimum of 7 nights, and the pitch you have requested is available on your chosen dates. We only have 49 serviced pitches so it’s impossible for us to offer everyone their pitch of choice particularly if they’re only staying for a night or two. We always do our best to accommodate individual requests but in busy periods unfortunately this is not always possible.
