Penhale Caravan and Camping Park is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an excellent base from which to explore the delights that Cornwall has to offer. Penhale is a family run site who will ensure that you receive a friendly welcome.
However you intend to travel to Cornwall you will find that Penhale is ideally situated. We are just fifteen minutes off the main A390 and only three miles from Par railway station which is on the main London to Penzance route. But, however you choose to get here and whether you are staying in a caravan, a motor home or a tent you will be able to enjoy the magnificent views that the site benefits from.

Penhale is centrally located; it is an hour and a half from lands End in the far west and the Lizard in the far south. A drive of approximately an hour and ten minutes will take you to Bude in the far north and Saltash which is farthest south is only fifty minutes away. If you fancy a day’s shopping the Cornish capital of Truro is only forty minutes by car. The rugged coastline of North Cornwall with its dramatic cliffs and vast beaches is only forty minutes away with the bustling seaside town of Newquay at its centre. However, the gentle south coast with its wooded valleys and hidden coves will give you plenty to explore on your holiday. Indeed, walking in Cornwall is very popular and many beautiful walks either long or short are available. With Penhale being so close to the Saints Way it is a perfect stopover for those walking the Cornish coastline as we offer discounted rates to backpackers. Also, the campsite is situated only 1.5 miles from the historic town of Fowey and its river which has a long tradition of seafaring. Penhale can accommodate those of you who wish to bring your boat and take advantage of the launching facilities which can be found at Fowey.

As well as the beautiful beaches there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy. The Eden Project is only four miles away; the huge biomes house trees and plants from all over the world, indeed the humid tropics biome is tall enough to house the Tower of London. There are also many wonderful stately homes and gardens such as the famous Heligan Gardens that could be visited whilst on your holiday. There are also many family attractions which will keep the children happy. The reception area of the campsite holds details of all the local attractions. Cornwall also offers a great variety of restaurants and pubs who offer good quality food.

There is a small shop on site which provides milk and some essential groceries as well as stocking Calor Gas and Camping Gaz. Nearby Fowey and Par have convenience stores and supermarkets are just a fifteen minute drive away. There is a petrol station and garage 600 yards away.
