Rock climbing, the Eden Project
See Eden from a whole new perspective on their Rock Wall! There are five routes up the cliff face next to the Rainforest biome, each of varying difficulty, and expert tuition and all the equipment you need are provided.
It costs £10 for a 45 minute climb – book on the day at the Visitor Centre. Climbing sessions run at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm each day. The minimum age is 7.You will need to be at the Rock Wall at least 15 minutes before your climb.

"Gribbin" Day Mark Open Day, Menabilly
This iconic red and white striped "day mark" was built on Gribbin Head in 1832 to provide a navigational aid to sailors. It is now owned by the National Trust. Climb up the stairs inside the huge 84 foot tower and take in the views from the top of this striking coastal land mark which is clearly visible from Penhale Caravan Park.
The tower is open from 11am until 5pm and it costs 50p to enter (for non-members). Booking is not required. The closest car park is at Menabilly Farm, 2 miles from Penhale. It is then a twenty minute walk to the day mark.

Fowey Family Festival
Visit the town hall for a day of activities for all the family to raise money for the Fowey Community Centre project. From 11am until 4.30pm there will be Celtic music and folk songs, storytelling and mime, poetry and Cornish dancing. Tea and refreshments will be available.
In the evening, from 6pm until 10.30pm, there will be poetry from local poets - Les Merton of Poetry Cornwall and others, Celtic music and song (traditional and contemporary), Jazz-blues, soul, cabaret and rock. Over the past four years, the award-winning Veuve Clicquot "Polo on the Beach" competition has built a reputation both in Cornwall and the polo world as one of the highlights of the autumn events calendar. Newquay Fish Festival
The Fish Festival gives Newquay an opportunity to showcase its harbour, and has been proven to be an extremely popular event with both residents and visitors. The practical cookery demos by local chefs are undoubtedly the highlight of the festival. The Lostwithiel Antiques Fair is held in the community centre on the second Sunday of the month, and is the most successful and longest running antique and collectibles fair in Cornwall. Over 40 stall-holders exhibit a range of antiques and collectibles including china, glass, jewellery, books, postcards, silver, small furniture, dolls and Victoriana.
