There are five routes up the cliff face next to the Rainforest biome, each of varying difficulty, and expert tuition and all the equipment you need are provided. The Padstow Obby Oss is reputed to be the oldest dance festival in the country. The Day celebrates the Celtic festival of Beltane - The spring festival dedicated to the return of the Celtic sun god Bel, who causes the crops to grow and the hours of daylight to lengthen! 'Gribbin' Day Mark Open Day, Menabilly

This iconic red and white striped 'day mark' was built on Gribbin Head in 1832 to provide a navigational aid to sailors. It is now owned by the National Trust. Climb up the stairs inside the huge 84 foot tower and take in the views from the top of this striking coastal land mark which is clearly visible from Penhale Caravan Park. The tower is open from 10am until 2pm and it costs 50p to enter. Booking is not required. The closest car park is at Menabilly Farm, 2 miles from Penhale. It is then a twenty minute walk to the day mark.

'Inspired and Wild' Art Exhibition: Art and Wildlife events at The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Fun wildlife events and activities to celebrate the Lost Gardens of Heligan supporting the Cornwall Wildlife Trust. This two day event will include storytelling with Fox Club, a photography walk, bird watching, art workshops, bird box making and more. The usual entry fee to the Gardens applies, which is £10 for adults, £6 for children, family ticket £27.

Fowey Town Walk

Enjoy a fascinating guided walk around the historic port of Fowey. Running from 11am until 1pm every Tuesday, you can either pay when you meet at the Town Quay or pre-book through the Tourist Information Centre, on South Street.  Tickets cost £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children.

'Wind in the Willows' River Cruise

Enjoy a gentle cruise from Fowey up the river to the delightful creek side village of Lerryn, with time to wander around Lerryn or enjoy a cream tea before returning to Fowey. Accompanied by a Blue Badge Guide you will learn about Kenneth Grahame and his association with Fowey; find out how the river gave Grahame inspiration for his book. Adults tickets are £12.25, children £8.00 and can be purchased from the Fowey Tourist Information Centre. Advance booking is essential. Please note this is an open boat and the trips are therefore subject to tide and weather conditions. The boat departs at 4pm.

Charlestown Village Walks

Charlestown was built in the nineteenth century to ship copper ore and china clay. Other activities included lime burning, mining, coopering, ship building and fishing. This popular walk looks at this largely unspoilt village which is part of the Cornish World Heritage Site and home for square rigged vessels used for films. Meet outside the Heritage and Shipwreck Centre at 7pm. Tickets are £2.50 for adults and under 16's are free with an adult. Booking is not required.
