Every Tuesday: June 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th - Fowey Town Walk
A guided, historical walk around the town of Fowey, looking at how the town and port have developed over the years. Discover who the ‘Fowey Gallants’ were, where the ‘Ragged Staff’ is, why the Pilgrims were here and what connection there is with Harvard! Meet at 11am on the Town Quay. Every Tuesday: June 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th - Charlestown Guided Walks
The pretty harbour village of Charlestown was built by the local landowner Charles Rashleigh in the 19th century, to ship copper ore and china clay. At one time there were many businesses alongside the docks, including boat building, net and rope making, and brickworks. The guided walk gives you a chance to learn more about the fascinating history of this beautiful, unspoilt village, which is part of a Cornish World Heritage Site and also home to a fleet of square-rigged sailing vessels. The village and harbour, as well as the ships themselves, have been used in countless films and television programmes.
Booking is not required. The cost for adults £2.50, under 16’s are free with an adult. Meet outside the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre at 7pm, the walk ends around 8.45pm. For further details you can contact Charles Thurlow on 01726 73882.

Every Thursday: June 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th - Headland Garden Open Day
Headland Garden in Polruan is open as part of the National Garden Scheme, in aid of the RNLI. Headland is a coastal garden overlooking the English Channel and the beautiful Fowey Estuary. It's unique position on the South Cornwall coast has an almost sub tropical climate which allows plants such as palms, tree ferns and echium to flourish. The gardens are open from 2pm – 6pm. The admission price is £2.50 for adults, £1 for children. Cream teas and plants are on sale. Monday June 7th - Creeks by Canoe, Fowey Estuary
Spend a day exploring the creeks and harbour of the Fowey estuary by canoe. The National Trust and Adventure Cornwall offer the unique experience of exploring National Trust countryside on the breathtakingly beautiful Fowey Estuary. Light and stable open Canadian canoes have plenty of space, paddled with a single blade. Full instruction and equipment provided. Booking is essential. Saturday June 12th - ‘Strandline Treasure Hunt’, Spit Beach, Near St Austell
Join the Cornwall Wildlife Trust to celebrate World Oceans Day. Come and explore all the wonders that can be found on this Cornish beach, with plenty of evidence of past volcanoes and the effects of the last ice age. Booking is essential. Saturday June 12th - ‘Climate Change in St Austell Bay’, Carlyon Bay to Spit Beach, Nr. St Austell
Take a look at the geological deposits showing how the climate has changed from near glacial to slightly warmer than present over the last 150,000 years. Booking is not required. Sunday June 13th - ‘Woods of the West Looe valley’
A nine mile woodland walk along the West Looe River, through to the oak woods of Kilminorth, with the option of continuing across the river into Trenant wWoods for those with more time. We will look for birds, butterflies and mammals. Booking is advised. The walk begins at 10.30am, and ends at either 12.30pm or 4.30pm. Meet at the Millpool gate to Kilminorth Woods, at the car park. Friday June 18th until Sunday June 30th – Cornish Beer Festival, Nr. Newquay

Ex Lifeboats are open to the public between 11am - 4pm. There will be boat trips, a barbecue, RNLI Sea Safety Display and more. There is no admission charge, but donations are welcomed for the RNLI. ‘The Rum Store’ at Carnglaze Caverns is the most amazing venue for live music. A Cornish tradition based upon the celebrations of St. Peter’s Day - St. Peter is the Patron Saint of fishermen. The week-long festival includes choral concerts, floral dances and processions. Climb up the stairs inside this massive 84 foot tower and take in the magnificent views from the top of this prominent coastal land mark, which is visible from Penhale Caravan Park. The tower is open from 11am until 5pm and it costs 50p to enter. The closest car park is at Menabilly Farm. Distance: 2 miles to the car park then a twenty minute walk to the Day Mark.
